Breaking Bad cumple con los pronósticos y se convierte en la triunfadora de la noche en la categoría dramática. Las sorpresas llegaron en la categoría de comedias, cuando la recien estrenada Brooklyn Nine-Nine se hacía con los dos galardones a los que estaba nominada, desbancando a series como Modern Family y The Big Bang Theory.
Bryan Craston (Breaking Bad) ganó el Globo de Oro a mejor actor de drama. En la categoría femenina, vimos como nuevamente Maslany se quedaba sin reconocimiento, recayendo en Robin Wright por su papel en House of Cards.
En la categoría de miniseries Behind the candelabra se mantuvo intratable, consiguiendo 2 premios más.
